Indonesia’s Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara has delineated the main roles of three deputy finance ministers to enhance the focus and coordination within the ministry. The new allocation of responsibilities, established under Presidential Decree No. 104P of 2026, is aimed at strengthening fiscal administration as the country navigates its fiscal management and state budget.

Deputy Finance Minister Juda Agung is set to oversee the financial sector, international affairs, and financing. Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman will handle state revenue, which covers taxes, customs and excise duties, and non-tax revenue. Luky Alfirman is tasked with managing state expenditure, treasury operations, and transfers to regional governments. Despite these specific assignments, Nazara emphasized that all four officials, including himself, will continue to collaborate on the overall management of the ministry, organizational matters, human resources, and budgeting.

The appointments bring together a blend of experience, with Alfirman being a senior Finance Ministry official and Nurkholisoh having a background as an economist and researcher at Bank Indonesia. This strategic distribution of duties is intended to bolster the ministry’s efficiency in delivering on its fiscal responsibilities.

In related developments, Nazara reported that Indonesia’s state revenue reached approximately 2,341.5 trillion rupiah by the end of September 2026. This figure represents a 25.5% increase compared to the same period in the previous year and accounts for 74.2% of the government’s revenue target for the year. Such growth underlines the importance of effective fiscal management as the country continues to handle revenue collection, public spending, and regional funding.
