Indonesia is setting the stage for its role as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, aiming to draw investment, forge technology partnerships, and enhance industrial collaboration with businesses from the Eurasian region. Scheduled to take place from July 6 to 9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the event will see Indonesian companies and government delegates showcase opportunities tied to the nation’s evolving industrial strategy.
The Indonesian Ministry of Industry is leveraging the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) to develop a more competitive and sustainable manufacturing sector. This strategy addresses key global trends such as digitalization, energy transitions, and shifting supply chains, while aligning with Indonesia’s long-term Golden Indonesia 2045 development objectives. According to Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, the strategy aims to generate opportunities for international partners through investment, technology transfer, and the development of industrial capacity.
SBIN focuses on enhancing value-added production from natural resources, advancing industrial technology via the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting green industrialization, and strengthening the skills of industrial human resources. In support of these areas, Indonesia plans to present more than 50 industrial companies at INNOPROM 2026, fostering dialogue with potential Eurasian partners, particularly in industrial technology cooperation. Companies in sectors like machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials will have the chance to explore modernization partnerships with Indonesian manufacturers.
Investment in industrial parks and downstream processing opportunities are also being promoted. Indonesia seeks collaborations in strategic minerals such as nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium, anticipating increased demand for processing technologies, manufacturing equipment, and materials engineering. Additionally, the AGRO pavilion will highlight collaboration prospects in the agricultural and food-processing sector, with Indonesian businesses demonstrating opportunities in food-processing technologies, logistics, distribution, and access to regional markets.
With one of Southeast Asia’s largest manufacturing bases, Indonesia enters the exhibition with a manufacturing value added of approximately $265 billion, ranking 13th globally. As of August 2025, non-oil and gas manufacturing exports totaled $147.9 billion, accounting for nearly 80% of Indonesia’s total exports. Tri Supondy, Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access, emphasized that Indonesia’s participation at INNOPROM is designed to reinforce its position as a long-term industrial partner for Eurasian economies, offering a platform for discussions on investment projects, technology transfers, and supply-chain partnerships across diverse manufacturing sectors.
